Our review: Unlike most electric toothbrushes, this one has a regular shaped head, not a small round one, which we loved as it felt like we got a thorough clean. Having sensitive teeth, we were pleased that it was both gentle and powerful at the same time. It’s super quick, and you barely need to apply any pressure, which means it’s delicate on gums but makes your teeth feel sparkling clean. The timer setting turns the toothbrush off after two minutes, but within that it pauses to tell you when to move to a new area, which is helpful. It has a USB connection so you can charge it like you would a phone and the design is bright and modern.

Our review: This sleek looking and compact toothbrush makes the perfect travelling companion with the leatherette case included. It’s available in two shades; champagne and midnight blue. We found it easy to navigate and use with the one touch control, although you do need to have access to the free app to change the settings. The app also gives you feedback on your cleaning method. This is a bit time consuming to check every day but does offer helpful advice on how to improve brushing technique. The toothbrush is quiet and has a good battery life, lasting around two weeks. Our only negative is that it is an expensive outlay to start with.

Our review: Easy to get to grips with, this brush came with two different heads and a handy, lightweight case that is ideal for use when travelling. Unlike some other devices, the bristles were soft and didn’t irritate our gums or feel too scratchy. However, the bulky shape of the brush meant it was tricky to get to those hard-to-reach areas like the back of the upper molars. The base is also quite narrow, meaning the unit would often wobble and fall over when attaching. However, in use, we found it quiet, so it doesn’t disturb others if you’re using it late at night, and the battery lasted a fortnight without needing to charge. It has three speeds; sensitive, clean and white – we preferred the latter as it gave the deepest clean.

Our review: Modern and minimalist, this offers a range of high-tech features. When setting up, you can select your own icon sticker attachment to help differentiate from other brushes in the household. We selected the heart icon but there were also smiley faces and stars. There are four modes controlled by the switch on the handle, including soft, white, massage and clean. The ‘clean’ setting was perfect for us and offered just the right amount of pressure. The Aeno Smart app was a great tool to use alongside it, letting you personalise your own brushing programme by changing pressure and frequency, depending on your needs. It also allows you to easily check battery percentage as well as giving reminders about brush head changes.

Our review: We liked the blush pink colour, and it was comfortable to hold without being too heavy. It was intuitive to set up, but took 16 hours to reach full charge, which was longer than other models on test. The round brush head has a good configuration of bristles which reached all the nooks and crannies of our teeth. The light on the neck changes from green, indicating good contact, to red when you have applied too much pressure. You can switch between three modes – daily clean, sensitive and whitening – by pressing the lower button. We didn’t feel much of a difference between each mode and there wasn’t an obvious way of knowing which mode you were using, so we’re not sure how useful this
feature is.

Our review: With huge eco credentials – it’s completely recyclable – this brush left our teeth with a squeaky clean, post-dentist feeling. The vibration was quiet and a lot less invasive than others we have tried, whilst still leaving our teeth feeling thoroughly fresh. The brush charged quickly and, even after a month of use twice daily, it’s still going strong on its first charge! The storage case was handy as not only is it extremely compact, but it also helps to keep the brush clean between uses with its clever UV light that kills up to 99% of bacteria. It’s made of lightweight materials and sits comfortably in the hand for the recommended two-minute clean.
