It's really sweet to see a behind the scenes documentary of a such a revolutionary director. Working on his last projects. Fassbinder's process of making and participating in projects is really soothing and refreshing to see. He's really efficient in what he does, even if it sometimes gets a bit out of hand.
This documentary was actually really calm and satisfying. I also like how the other crew described how it was meeting him/working with him. Such as, Franco Nero saying that Fassbinder was extremely shy when they first talked. Shy to the point where he couldn't even talk.
I thoroughly enjoyed every scene I could consume from this film. I don't know, it's really heartbreaking but also just nice, good to see. I just love this man alot. A whole whole lot.

An interesting fly on the wall doc that shows Fassbinder behind the scenes in his last directing (Querelle) and acting (Kamikaze 1989) roles.
Made by Wolf Gremm, the director of Kamikaze who also had a cameo in Querelle and serves here as the occasional narrator. It captures Fassbinder at a unique moment, visibly tired and at the height of his powers. Unknowingly putting the final touches on his legacy.
"The beer is actually whiskey mixed with ginger ale."

This Wolf Gremm documentary takes a look at the two final projects of Rainer Werner Fassbinder: KAMIKAZE 1989 and QUERELLE.
If you're a fan of Fassbinder then there's a lot of great footage here that you're going to be interested in. Obviously, the highlight are the behind-the-scenes footage where you get to see Fassbinder on the set of these films. He acted in KAMIKAZE 1989 and directed QUERELLE so we get to see him working both sides of the camera.
As a documentary, I'm not really sure we "learn" anything from this film but it's the footage that makes it worth watching. I thought it was fun watching Fassbinder work as an actor and then seeing how he works with actors as a director.
